What is the meaning of the logo?

  • The hands in the shape of the heart over the broken earth signify the need as well as the hope of overcoming violence.

  • The yellow earth stands for hope amidst turmoil, while the sharp edges of the green shape emphasise the danger that the earth is in.

  • The movement around the earth signifies the dynamism of this global initiative.

Which logo file(s) should I download?

  • For use on the web, use the .gif or .jpg file format. .Gif is smaller and easier to download; if it is necessary to reduce or enlarge the size, .jpg may give better results.

  • For simple printed materials, use .jpg file format.

  • For large printed materials, or for translating or modifying the logo, see logos for professional use.
