Restoring Balance: Peace Through Right Relationships
Denver, Colorado (USA)The tenth Christian Peacemaker Teams' Congress will take place in Denver, Colorado on 17-20 September 2009. The theme will be "Restoring Balance: Peace Through Right Relationships."
The congress will be a time to:
- hear the voices of Aboriginal Peoples
- learn new ways of peace
- consider together what "balance," "shalom," "peace," and "justice" mean for different peoples
- struggle together to bring these things into being
- learn about CPT's work and community
- Through worship, workshops, and prophetic public witness, the Congress invites you to "get in the way" of Jesus to bring healing, transformation, and long-term competent strategy to our peacemaking.

- George "Tink" Tinker, Baldridge Professor of American Indian Culture, and Practice at Iliff and author of "Missionary Conquest."
- Elizabeth Garcia, CPTer and immigration activist mobilizing opposition against the Border Wall and immigration detention centers
- Harley Eagle, Coordinator of Indigenous Work, Mennonite Central Committee
- Highlights of CPT's peacemaking work around the world.
