Auf der Suche nach einer alternativen Globalisierung

Vom 8.-10. Februar 2010 findet in Freising bei München unter dem Motto „Ehre sei Gott und Friede auf Erden“ eine bundesweite ökumenische Konsultation statt. Vertreterinnen und Vertreter von Kirchen, Initiativen und Basisgruppen werden über Alternativen zur gegenwärtigen Globalisierung diskutieren. Dabei wird es vor allem um das Verhältnis von kapitalorientierten Wirtschafts- und Finanzsystemen zum Klimawandel und zu Fragen von Frieden und Gewalt gehen. Die Diskussionsergebnisse sollen in die vom Ökumenischen Rat der Kirchen (ÖRK) organisierte Internationale Ökumenische Friedenskonvokation eingehen, die im Mai 2011 in Kingston (Jamaika) stattfinden wird.

This two-year innovative, challenging and creative training programme will bring together 24 young men and women (aged 18 - 30) from Eastern Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Central Asia. Participants need to make a two-year commitment and to be involved in both seminars as well as micro-projects and other exciting adventures.
